That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Alby Crafts & Gardens is a working craft studios and gallery destination set in 4.5 acres of gardens on the A140 between Cromer and Aylsham. The site brings together resident makers, changing exhibitions, a bistro and landscaped grounds, making it a proper stop rather than just somewhere to stretch legs.

Dogs on leads are welcome in the Upper Courtyard, giving you a base to browse outdoor displays or wait with your dog while companions explore the galleries and workshops. Free parking takes the sting out of arrival logistics and the courtyard setup means you can manage the visit without leaving anyone in the car.

The gardens and courtyard offer enough space for a gentle wander and the mix of creative studios and outdoor areas gives the visit a bit more interest than a standard garden centre run. It's about six miles from Cromer, useful if you're plotting a north Norfolk day out that includes your dog without limiting everyone to purely outdoor sites.

Dog Policy:

Dogs on leads are welcome in the Upper Courtyard. Indoor galleries, workshops and the bistro are not needed here as dog-accessible, so plan for outdoor courtyard access.
