Days Out Are For Dogs Too

The Black Swan Inn is a lovely choice when you want your Seahouses stop to feel warm, settled and a little bit special after a day that’s been run by the weather and your dog’s enthusiasm. It has that reassuring gastropub feel: comfortable space, good food focus, and an atmosphere that suits everything from a late lunch to a proper evening meal.
It’s a great “end of day” destination. You’ve done the harbour walk. You’ve watched the dog get tired and then somehow find a second wind. Now you want somewhere that feels like a reward, with a menu that gives you choice and a setting that makes you want to sit down properly rather than perch and rush.
The vibe is calm and confident rather than fussy. It’s the kind of place where you can talk through the day’s plans (or laugh at how your plans were gently replaced by the dog’s plans), order something satisfying, and enjoy that cosy coast feeling without needing a big occasion. If you’re staying locally, it’s a good one to keep in rotation for evenings when you want a reliable “this will be nice” meal.
Dog Policy:
Dogs are welcome in dog-friendly areas (not the main restaurant). North Coast Collective rules apply: dogs must be on lead, kept with you, and off furniture. If you’re eating, ask to be seated in the correct dog-friendly section.
