Blaze is a co-op gift shop tucked just off the Christmas Steps Arts Quarter, filled wall-to-wall with work from independent makers and local artists. Run by a collective of creatives, it brings together over 100 Bristol-based artists, so every shelf, rail and corner feels like a rotating gallery of things you didn’t know you needed until now.

From prints and etchings to ceramics, jewellery and one-off pieces, it’s the kind of place where browsing turns into slow wandering, then into “I’ll just get this as a gift”… followed closely by keeping it for yourself. Dogs pad in alongside you, nosing gently through the creative chaos while you pretend you came in with restraint.

Dogs are welcome inside, so they can join the browse rather than being parked outside while you “just have a quick look.” Just keep them close and mindful around all the beautiful (and very temptingly knockable) handmade pieces 🐾
