Cambo Gardens Café sits inside the Stables Visitor Centre at Cambo Estate, just outside St Andrews and dogs are welcome inside throughout the café. The seasonal menu runs on home-grown produce and plenty of cake, served at tables where your spaniel can supervise proceedings from under the bench.

The café opens daily through summer and Friday to Monday either side, with the smaller Tackroom Café covering the quieter months. Treats and belly rubs are mentioned warmly on the official site and dogs stay on leads in the visitor centre and on the garden paths.

It's a substantial stop that pairs café, shop and gardens in one visit, useful when you're threading together East Neuk beaches and need somewhere everyone can settle in for lunch. The estate trails and walled gardens are open to dogs on leads, so there's plenty to sniff before or after your toastie.

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome inside the café, so the whole group can settle in for food and drinks. Dogs stay on leads in the visitor centre and on the garden paths.
