Rest & Be Thankful Inn is a traditional Exmoor pub in Minehead where dogs are welcome inside. The bar and dining areas are open to walkers and their dogs and food is served at lunch and dinner. It's the sort of place where muddy boots and wet paws are part of the scenery.

The kitchen runs lunch service from noon to 2pm and dinner from 5:30pm to 8:30pm, Monday to Sunday. The bar opens at 7am and stays open until midnight every day, so there's plenty of scope for a post-walk pint or an early breakfast stop. The atmosphere is relaxed and walker-friendly.

The inn sits on the edge of Exmoor, making it a useful base for Wheddon Cross routes and longer moorland walks. Dogs can settle under the table while you refuel and nobody minds a bit of Exmoor mud trailing through the door.
