The Rowan Tree Country Hotel sits just south of Aviemore on the Loch Alvie road, making it a practical stop for visitors heading between the village and the surrounding glens. That straightforward access is the detail that turns a quick drink or meal into a genuine break for the whole group.

The bar serves breakfast from 8am, lunch from noon and dinner from 5.30pm, with dogs able to join their owners throughout. There's ample free onsite parking and camper van parking with electric hook-up is available for a fee if you're planning a longer stay.

You'll need to bring your own dog bed and bowls, but the indoor welcome and flexible food hours make it a useful base for walkers exploring Loch Alvie or road-trippers breaking the journey north. That simple inclusion is especially useful when the weather turns or the day needs a proper sit-down pause.
