That’s our way of flagging the places that go further — beyond “dogs allowed”, with a genuinely warm welcome for dogs inside.

Walton Hall and Gardens is one of those places that can carry a whole day without much effort. The estate is packed with grounds, attractions and heritage, and the site makes clear that dogs are welcome across the estate except in the Children’s Zoo. There is also a dog-friendly Heritage Café in the Stables courtyard with indoor and outdoor seating, plus water bowls outside for visiting dogs. That makes it especially useful for a longer outing where you want walks, scenery and a reliable refuel stop all stitched together. Very good for family days, leg-stretches with ambition and dogs who enjoy acting like estate management.

Good to know:

Water bowls available

Treats available

Doggy Menu available

Dog Policy:

Dogs are welcome across the estate on leads, apart from the Children’s Zoo. There is even a dog-friendly café stop built in, so it is a very solid choice for a full day of paws, paths and polite sniffing.
